Refresh in near future

You know you can get a heater control valve that is a bypass. Flip one direction it's straight through in and out. Flip the other direction,in and out go through the heater core. Common GM heater valve starting probably mid 80s. Just for fun I'm going to search 1999 Escalade and see what pops up.BRB.

In the one pic, it nay not be connected for purposes of just getting it out of the way and not dribbling coolant.

I quoted post 88 to help @DoubleDingo so he wouldn't have to redo his heater hoses twice a year and in your picture that he was referring to there was no heater valve,so we didn't know what you had done after.

Update:
After a couple fill-ups and tracking the numbers, it appears that a 1mpg has graced me.
11 mpg aint bad for banging around the city.
Now,if I could just keep my foot out of the secondaries...Naaah.
