Rear disc conversion brake line pics and suggestions, need pics.

Hello, I just got my rear disc brackets and rotors on and I'm looking into brake lines. I a new factory center hose with the T bolted to the diff cover. I'm thinking about getting braided stainless lines made to run the whole lengths. I don't want the hoses/lines rubbing on anything. I see some use metal lines to near the caliper, then go rubber to the caliper. These are the calipers for the 76-78 Eldorado. I'd like to see some pics, thanks.

You can see my lines if you zoom in. I’d like for the bends to be a little more crisp and straight but they work so I’m in no hurry to rework them.

Are you talking about the brakes themselves? If so, I made that conversion myself using brake parts from a front D60.

I used Nicopp hardlines out to the rubber hoses. You should be able get em in various lengths and fittings premade at your parts store.

This is how I routed mine before the u-bolt flip and when I had factory rear springs. Just some brake line from the auto parts store.

I guess my main decision is whether to use braided stainless the whole length from the T on the rear end to the caliper, or to use metal lines up to the axle housing end then use hose to the caliper. That's why I want to see pics. Thanks for those that already posted pics and replies. I'm still deciding which way to go.

me I'd go as solid line as you can. It should last longer and no risk of swelling.

No need for stainless braided and I wouldn't want stainless braided. With rubber it's easy to see a bulging or fraying hose,you can't see with the stainless covering,. The covering flexes and fishmouths trapping abrasive in. And there are sometimes issues with the swedged ends not being as solid.

I went braided stainless steel lines all the way from the hard line to the T to the calipers on my 14FF. Custom made by a company in Germany with 10 years warranty. I think this lines will outlive me.

I used classic tube for the brake lines to the back and then modified the lines on the axle to go braided stainless to the caliper. All of my hoses are braided stainless, run them on the race car, they will be sufficient on the tow vehicle.
