I'm currently in the middle of manual swapping my 88 K5 blazer. I have an SM465 and a linkage style clutch pedal assembly both out of a 78 C30 dumptruck. My questions are 1. do I need to removing the brake booster to pull out the auto pedal assembly? 2. Where exactly do I drill the hole for the rod that connects the clutch pedal to the z-bar? 3. Is there anything else I should be aware of as far as this specific swap?

The C30's brake pedal arm may have a different fulcrum point for the brake booster as it may have a hydroboost brake booster instead of a vacuum booster.

Just compare the brake arms before you put the C30's brake arm in. The distance from the pivot point to the booster rod hole should be the same. There is a possibility that the C30 arm will bottom out on the floor if the distance between those two points is less than your K5 arm.

I converted my R10 to hydroboost. That's how I know about this.
