Just be grateful you aren't trying to manuvere an old Ferd truck, GM's trucks turn circles inside them

This is truly pathetic. Sell the damn thing. Buy a Smartcar. You might be able to park this.

Lmao.

I <3 this thread :love62:
It's right up there with center consoles, glovebox screws, and getting your questions answered/not answered promptly.

I forgot about this one. Thanks for reminding me of it. Not quite as good as the spark plug gap one but, it still made me laugh again

I am the very proud owner of a 1981 C10. Have to admit that I'm new to the truck stage, but have done some other car projects. Really like the truck till I have to try to park it or get in tight spaces, because this thing turning radius is measured in miles. So for my question. Is it just poor design that causes binding or am I missing something? Thinking that a rack and pinion would be something worth considering to correct the steering geometry. Any input and feed back would help. Yes I will continue to use the search button. Thanks

Mine is a 1 Ton with a 8'x15' flatbed on it. A regular truck would be a joy to turn & park.
I have been driving trucks for 40 years so I am used to it. Have driven everything from Nissan D21 up to 18 wheelers..... try turning one of them around.

My 1974 full size Jeep Cherokee has an extremely tight turning radius.....buy one of those, easy to drive and their classics too!! (if you can find one)

Holy cow!

Eight months and he still doesn't have this thing parked!?

I wonder if he needed training wheels on his tricycle?

It's a pretty big step from a Big Wheels up to a 1/2 ton pickup! LOL
