New guy from middle NC

New guy to the forum here. My name is Mike and Im residing in Fayetteville, NC for the time being. I drive (DD) a 1987 Chevy V10/K5 (however you want to slice it), 350/built 700r4/208, 37x12.5x17 KM2s, 10 bolt front, 14 bolt ff rear Detroit locked, 4.56 gears, ORD rear shackle flip kit, 56" 1 ton springs, Blazen Offroad front/rear bumpers, Warn 9.5 winch, '04 Silverado seats, mid '00s Ford Expedition 3rd row seat for the rear seats, Summit Racing heater, Ford Windstar E-fan assembly, JK Jeep steering shaft, Softopper.com soft top......and if I forgot anything, Im sure it will come out down the road.

Future plans are D44 front axle or D60 Air or E-locked, crossover steering, Lizard Skin lined interior.....well, its a never-ending project....lol.

Hope to learn a ton and share my experience when/where needed. Thanks.

This is how I got her 3 years ago....10 bolt front/rear, 3.73, 3" BL, 38 TSLs, and few other things that were bound to break that needed upgradeing...

LOL...that was quick that someone caught that! It is an extremeaxle.com conversion kit.....replaces 8 lug hub with 6 lug hub.

Down side is that if you want/need to change your tire you either 1. have to remove axle shaft or 2. grind dowm the axle shaft flange so you can slide the rim off. I have not ground down the flange at this time with the expectation to go back to the 8 lug hub in the future....hopefully by spring time with a new front axle.

It was a cheaper means to an end at the time when I swapped in the 14ff. Didnt have the $$$$ for a dana 60 and new rims.
