Is anyone here using an MTS polyethylene gas tank?

I'm looking at their #2050C 16 gal tank for my 82 C10 SWB.

I didn't realize a plastic tank was still available anywhere. I bought another steel tank.

Spectra tanks are hard to beat. I just bought two of their saddle tanks and they fit just as they should. You can get your tank for under $100.

Thanks for the Spectra tank recommendations. Those costs about half as much as poly, and some vendors ship for free.

What did you guys use for anti-squeak? I was reading on a Corvette forum that roofing felt works just fine. Also that some of the products being sold as anti-squeak are nothing more than rubber strips that are too thin and too narrow. :(

I used roof felt. It was a synthetic non asphalt underlayment that I had left over from a job.

I made the mistake of just bolting the tank right to the straps. It's probably why I only got a few years out of the tank before I had to replace it. That and Ohio salt.
