Good Morning Everyone,

I've just been mostly lurking for the last couple years, you know collecting ideas to do to my 1976 K20 single cab long bed for when I have time to work on it :) My exhaust is getting pretty rusted out, so I'd like to fab up a new exhaust before winter.

I have everything I need to weld up a new exhaust system for my truck except for the down pipes to connect to the stock exhaust manifolds with exhaust doughnuts. I've been looking for just the down pipes for a while and I can only find them in complete exhaust kits. Does anyone know where I could purchase the down pipes and flanges only, or even short stubby straight sections that I could weld to my own mandrel bent 90 deg and 45 deg elbows? I'd be fine with stock diameter, or maybe up to 2", I just have a basically stock 300hp 350 and I just use the truck for hauling stuff.

Thanks in advance!

Try searching for pre-catalyst dual, maybe '74, pipes.

I've got a set off of a 75 K5 that was a factory dual exhaust truck. They are 2" pipes. A good exhaust shop might be able to bend you up something.

I just finished converting back to stock exhaust manifolds after my headers rusted out. I used the PYPES DGU135 parts below. Order from Summit - although they are GM they are are for G body not for trucks. The driver's side worked great and fit right over the cross member. On the passenger side, since I have a 4x4, I had to insert a piece to drop it below and under the transfer case. Regardless, I thought the quality was really good. I ran 2.5" all the way back with flow master stainless tailpipes going over the rear and then into 3" tubes exiting straight out the back.
