K10 lift on K20?

Will a 6" lift for a 1/2 ton work on a k20??

Rear will have blocks so I'm worried about front only.

I'm gonna take a quick stab at not giving a good answer, but if the spring dimmensions are the same than it should. With the front axles being different only at the hubs between the K10 and K20, I'd only suspect spring length to be the issue.

The fronts should fit just fine. The rear is a different story, I believe 3/4 ton trucks came with 56" rear springs, most 1/2 tons came with 52"

That's what I thought too. Had a couple buddies tell me otherwise..

What axle is in the rear of your truck? You may need different U-bolts if you have an axle with larger diameter axle tubes than a 10 bolt axle.

If the rear is a 14bff you will need longer u-bolts specific to that axle. 1/2 ton trucks came with a 10 bolt axle that has a smaller tube diameter, so the u-bolts that come with a 1/2 ton lift kit will not fit around the tubes of a 14bff. The only way I can see you getting away with not having to get different u-bolts is if the u-bolts that are currently on the rear axle are long enough to accommodate a 4" block and still have enough thread to get the nuts and washers on. But I think that is a slim possibility.

I see what you're saying! Shouldn't be hard to find larger u-bolts. I am more worried about the front lift springs working or not.

According to ORD, the front springs appear to be the same between the K10 and K20.
