A skim coat is fine. There’s not a metal guy on the planet that can get metal perfectly straight without a skim coat of bondo. Even Charley Hutton uses it to finish off metalwork
I mean more about the people who take an entire cab corner and stuff it full of bondo... Lol

Saw a 71 c10 recently... "full resto" looked beautiful... For the low price of 5,000.
A woman was selling it, I had to wonder.
1. She got it in a divorce and is trying to turn a dollar
2. She didn't know what she had.
3. Someone passed and she's trying to pay for a funeral
Or....
4. ITS A DAMN BONDOMOBILE [emoji1787]

Shiiiiiiiit don't tell me thaaaaat... Lmao bro all I do is come home from work and sit my ass in front of this computer studying till midnight to wake up at six to go back to work to repeat. Taking 6 classes per semester to make it pass faster. Like ripling off the world's longest bandaid lol

Well, decisions are not easy. At the time I made the decision I was newly married and working 40 hours a week. So you either spend the money for someone else to do it or spend the time doing it yourself and have it take longer. You’ll never have more time than you have now. Life never slows down and when it does you have no money lol
So you're saying im never gonna have ANY time? Lol cuz that's how much time I got now....

Sounds about right, I'd come home, eat, do schoolwork, play guitar or play games on the computer, or xbox, whatever lol. No time except over the weekend sometimes

Damn bro those are gorgeous! Another dream I'm putting off till i finish college. Ive always wanted to learn how to play but I come from a middle class family and mom and dad used to work hard to pay rent so I could go to school. They couldn't afford classes.

Kinda the same deal here. I was fortunate enough to have a grandfather that left money in his will for his grandkids to go to college on.
I went to technical school for machining

Agreed there. Got my k5 project truck 2 years ago, maybe more, spent that entire time saving money, buying parts, little at a time, over the course of that time, I did HOARDS of research, then, now that I've got alot of the stuff, guns are loaded, unfortunately, the debit account isn't

Like I said, learning a new skill and/or getting better at an existing skill is never a bad thing! Especially as young as you are if you start learning to do things like weld, metal work, bodywork and things like that now on top of mechanical work you’ll be in awesome shape in no time with the skills you’ve acquired and the satisfaction of building the truck yourself

Literally took me 10 years to “complete” my ‘77 from the time I bought it to having it on the road looking the way I want it. I still need to do think like go through the AC but things like this are NOT short term projects unless you have deep pockets and shop that works fast OR if you’re retired with tons of time on your hands lol
