Been working on my IH dump truck. Pulled the heads, and took to shop, back in a couple weeks. Then I get to finish hauling gravel about 100 yards, then gonna sell . Good ol' truck but down sizing. I have doon a ton of work, new tires, brakes, transmission, and now engine. I rebuilt the master cylinder, but cannot get my brakes to work. Have tried several methods, Mighty vac, and a helper pushing the brakes, and got no bubbles out of the system, so am sire that part is good. I did bench bleed the master, it is working good. This has a air assist, and know nothing about this. The brakes are the last thing to get this on the road, if anyone has an idea, lay it on me. Note: in the morning, or when the brakes havn't been pumped, there is resistance on the peddle, but it goes to the floor. Next push no or little resistance.

Does it have the big brake boosters under the cab? Any time we overhauled grain truck brakes we almost always replaced the big boosters, sometimes they had two under the cab. If those boosters don't work good you'll have crappy brakes.

They also had brake fluid running to them, and have to be bled as well. We didn't do a lot of IH's, we mostly rebuilt engines in em. You also didn't mention the year, I assume I about know which model.

Noticed in other thread its got a 345. I'm surprised it's not a 392. Is it not a loadstar?
