Whoa, he may want to get that bolt back out someday. I can’t see using Loctite in the first place on an intake bolt. Much less with primer.
Or if you meant for a helicoil, different story but a helicoil would be my last choice in this instance. Way more work than likely necessary.
My point, but probably misunderstood, is pipe dope (Teflon sealant) is not the best sealer for coolant.

Did you try and slightly longer bolt?

Damn dude, that is by far the best suggestion so far. Access the threads that are not stripped by using a longer bolt.

Genius!

And I made the same suggestion at the bottom of post #8.
Yes, tried the longer bolt, so far so good. I should have just read this thread instead of dicking around with it all day, and now that I'm done I see this. Thanks guys!

First time in years no puddle in my drip pan. Between fixing the power steering pump and fixing the intake manifold bolts everything is staying clean. Thanks guys!

Also remember that the last two holes in the back are fixed length holes, so the bolt has to be the correct length to get a good seal. If the bolt is too long it will bottom out before pulling the intake down enough get a good seal. Very misleading since it will seem to torque down properly, but won’t really be tightly sealed.
