Intake manifold and stripped bolt

Whoa, he may want to get that bolt back out someday. I can’t see using Loctite in the first place on an intake bolt. Much less with primer.
Or if you meant for a helicoil, different story but a helicoil would be my last choice in this instance. Way more work than likely necessary.

My point, but probably misunderstood, is pipe dope (Teflon sealant) is not the best sealer for coolant.

Damn dude, that is by far the best suggestion so far. Access the threads that are not stripped by using a longer bolt.

Yes, tried the longer bolt, so far so good. I should have just read this thread instead of dicking around with it all day, and now that I'm done I see this. Thanks guys!
