Intake exhaust leak

Hi guys first post i have a 79 4x4 350 i just purchased it has good compression but it has ext leak on both sides of intake anyone seen this before?

Sounds like you need to replace the intake gaskets.Exhaust heat passes through the heads and through the intake manifold to prevent air and fuel from becoming an ice ball in the intake manifold on cold days.Pull the intake, clean the passages and replace the intake gaskets. That heat crossover is something I think a lot of guys jumping on the vortec head bandwagon are forgetting about.No heat passage on Vortecs because the weren't meant to be run with a wet manifold, as in tbi. or carburated.

I think i will replace the intake with something more stock thanks for the help
