u joint, get the spring perches for the rear also, its easier than trying to squeeze the u bolts in or drilling the old perches.

On my '79 I swapped from a 12 bolt to a 14 bolt semi float I used this combo rear U-joint at the axle.

Spicer 1310-1350 Part# 5-460X O’Reilly’s – Precision U-joint Part# 348 (3.219 / 1.062 to 3.625 / 1.188)

Due to the larger size of the pumpkin, I had to have the rear drive shaft shortened. The front was a 10 bolt so that was a direct bolt in. Not sure about a Dana 44.

Mine is sm465 to np208 shortbed front is gm style driveshaft. So driveshaft is going to need shortening....:893Chainsaw-Smilie-

See if they’ve got those Dana Spicer u joints on RockAuto. I paid for both the price of one at O’Reilly’s when I got mine.

My '79 had been already lifted when I got it, so it could have been lengthened already. I just finished the 3" lift in my K30 and did not have to lengthen the rear drive shaft.
