My truck idles rough when the AC is on. I see on my Air Cleaner sticker that the idle speed solenoid is supposed to be set to 800 RPM. I don't think I see this on my carb.

Here is my carb number: 17080230

Here are some pictures of the carb. I don't know what I am looking for and if I am missing it can it be added to this carb? And how?

There should be an Idle solenoid mounted on the driver`s side of the Carb, usually electric, that shoots an adjustable rod to the 90 degree flat plate on top of your throttle crank, right above where the throttle cable is mounted. when you turn the A/C on, it energizes the solenoid, and opens the throttle to compensate for the extra load. Its that **** above the #3 intake runner. And yes, It can be added, and splice it into the green wire that energizes the A/C compressor.

Where might I find one of these devils? I looked at QuadrajetParts.com, ebay and nothing came up. Anyone have one of these lying around their garage? I will need both the bracket and Solenoid.

No wire that I can see. Just converted eveything to r134a about 3 weeks ago. AC ran before but ran warm and the compressor was leaking oil so I converted everything including the compressor to new r134a stuff. There was only 1 green wire (and a ground) running from the compressor to the connector up by the firewall and no cuts in the wire. HMMMMM. Silly me I searched by the description on the sticker which was idle speed solenoid not idle stop solenoid. Live and learn. Thanks for the links.

Just purchased this one. Thanks Jims86.

Good deal, When you get it installed, and spliced in with that green wire going to the compressor, hook up a tach, let her warm up to normal temp, activate the A/C on MAX, and unscrew the rod coming out of the solenoid until it opens the throttle to 800 rpm, then shut the A/C off and make sure the idle returns to 700 or 750(whatever the emissions sticker says).

Would anyone know the size/thread of the 2 bolts/screws that hold on this part? I went through my bolt/screws cans and nothing fit.

I got a kit. My local shop installed it. Included new AC-Delco Compressor, Hoses, etc. Complete Kit was $395. Cost $200 bucks to get it installed. 4 Cans of R134a was extra. Works fantastic. Nice and cold even in this Tennessee heat.
