I'm trying to clean up my 79 Blazer engine compartment, and I would like to tuck my hood release cable into the fender. Has anyone used a longer one from another car to do this?...TIA!!

Well, this is timely. I noticed the same thing and was looking around last year when I did a bunch of work in there. I gave up on finding one, but am now about to tear it all back down to swap in the new engine/trans and need that room for electronics and wiring. I'm gonna check that out for sure.

Alright, after looking at it... there is no way that will work. The Grand Prix or Lemans ones seem to be close, but the firebird one is crazy short.
