I have a 82 C10 and the hole in firewall that the wire connectors for the ac control module there is a vacuum hose going from the side thru the firewall that has been cut. Do anyone know where this leads snd also there a brown wire that from the engine department thru firewall under the dash any idea where it goes it is a blade connection

Got a picture of brown wire. The vacuum hose sounds like it's for the HVAC controls. Do your defog/vent/heat modes all work?

Did you ever figure out what the brown wire was for? I'd certainly be thinking it's related to the AC.

That brown wire looks like it is for a tach. If the vacuum hose was near the top of firewall just off to the passenger side? Then it is for the climate controls on the dash. If it is on the drivers side by the steering column then it is for the cruise control.
