Greetings ladies & gentlemen! I'm new to this forum but I've been looking on here pondering whether to join or not, and i finally decided after my grandfather left me behind his truck he used to take me on hunting. I only went hunting with him 3 times and never not even noticed the truck till 2 weeks ago, when i inherited the truck. I don't know anything about trucks so i'm looking you to, hopefully helping me learn the basics to my truck. I posted up pics of the truck from different angles in hope you can help me identify all in my album and begin tearing down and restoring. Your help will really appreciated. I apologize for any inconvinience this may have caused.

It is actually, the seats are welded in and i dont like how the seats are all torn from the sun. So more likely the first mod would be cut the cab and make newer silverado seats with center counsel fit.

Welcome to GMSB. You'll get plenty of help here. So it's an 82 K10 Chevy Silverado then right? A half ton with 6 lug wheels?

If so, the powertrain should be 5.7 350 motor you listed, which is rare, most were 305 in 82. Th350 Auto trans with Lock Up converter, NP208 transfer case and that is the correct shifter for an NP208, and 10 bolt front and rear GM Corporate Axles.

So now that you've introduced yourself and mentioned a restoration. How about getting a thread fired up in the Under Construction section.

I can tell you that the truck was most likely blue before it was painted tan, also thought it would be worth mentioning that the front end style your truck has was only made for a couple years so its pretty cool. Also, if you decide you dont like the push bar you could sell that to some hill billy in Marana for mega bux.
