Here are some pics. I went to replace my oil pressure sending unit today and i had to remove the distributor to get to it. Now I'm thinking i might as well replace it while its out. What brand do yall like?
TIA,

Welcome from Southern Idaho!!
For distributors, I would stick to totally stock (INCLUDING AC Delco modules) they are good, or my non-stock preference is DUI (Davis Unified Ignition) I have been running one on my 90 Vette with no problems and increased (somewhat) performance... it seems to run better and not misfire at higher RPM. If you're running a stock type setup a GM HEI is hard to beat.... as long as you don't stick cheap parts in it... think cap, rotor and module.
For my K30 truck with 250,000+ miles 454 I run a totally stock HEI except for a low resistance button. Its solid copper (if I recall correctly) and it upped my MPG by about 10% (back in the early 90's going from 9 to 10 MPG was alot). You can find them online and I believe it is one of the first mods that should be made to an HEI ----> more voltage to the plugs= hotter spark etc etc.
