Hydro assist wouldn't hurt, since if it's a 6BT Cummins it has a lot of weight over the front now. Everything looks good. You could take it to an alignment shop and just have them check caster, it should have about 6 degrees.

here's what I think I see. it appears to have a big body lift and the angle of the shaft is too great on the input to the steering box. it appears that the steering column angle was not modified with the body lift. also it appears those are stock springs with leafs added. get a set of real lift springs for the front and straighten out that steering shaft. it also appears that the oil pan needs to be modified. isn't that a given on these? highdesertranger

I also noticed the steering column, didn't know what would've caused it though until you mentioned body lift. Probably with he's eating steering boxes right there

to adjust the angle of column would i move steering box or how would i go about that? also what type and size of leafs should i be looking at because there is only a custom 3rd world type of lift.lol the shackles are only about 4 or 5 inches long that is the only type of lift i can find that has changed other than maybe the springs.

Have also thought about changing over to coil overs and track bars. What are thoughts on that. If you look in the photos you can also see that my front driveshaft is not hooked up. This is due to the exhaust being in the way. is also the turbo tubes.

slow down fix one thing at a time before you start new stuff. does it have a body lift? I said that before because of the angle of the shaft. I forgot you have a newer body and a K frame. regardless the angle of the shaft is way off. looks like your rag joint and slip joint are both in need of some repair. basically you need to lower the column inside the truck. probably going to need to cut the firewall below the column so it can move down and put spacers under the dash. you need to get that shaft as straight as possible. highdesertranger

Would an XJ shaft mod work for this?

lol ok. i have located a big problem. the shaft has not been moved from anywhere. the hole in the firewall has no catch in it to hold the shaft steady. it is also at the wrong angle for sure. i am in process of fixing that this week. That does explain the blown out steering boxes but a bigger concern is the steering arm studs breaking. Any ideas on that part
