Hi,
So on the headlight switch, where you pull it out to turn it off, the knob or whatever the piece is keeps popping right off whenever you pull too hard. How is this supposed to go on/be held on?
Thanks!

its a force fit set up. the shaft of the switch is force fit into the knob. There is a little button on the switch behind the dash that releases the whole shaft and knob as one piece. A lot of guys don't know this and just pull really hard until the knob slides off the shaft when they need to remove the dash bezel. You can get away with doing that once or twice but do it to many times and you no longer have a force fit. Now the hole is bigger then the shaft. and you need to find a replacement shaft and knob.

It's a little dome button on the bottom or side of the switch. Gotta reach from underneath the dash. You won't be able to see it while you're doing it. Also, you'll end up turning on your lights when pulling the knob out.

After you depress the button, pull the knob out, more than likely you'll turn on your parking & headlamps. Then gently push it back in just far and hard enough to turn off the lights, but not engage the release button , then pull it back out.

To get the shaft out of the switch, pull the knob all the way out to the H/L position then press the release button and remove the shaft.
