So getting the templete to fit was almost the worst part. Once it fit great I cut the aluminum. As normal it didn't fit. Had to trim it more than I wanted because I couldn't get it to bend like I thought it would. But got it in and going to fill in the gap with 3m 5200. If I did it again and bought a sheet I would use thinner gauge. Drilling the holes for the vents was the most tedious part. Should have drilled from the top. It made rough on the outside. Also I scratched it up bad but I don't care about scratches. Rivited the Vin plate on too. I sprayed afew coats of clear coat on it maybe it won't rust any more.
It seems like you said you sprayed a clear coat over rust? That won’t do anything to stop it. It’ll rust from the inside still.

Cut the front piece,j have to cut a notch for steering column. Then hole saw gauges. I still don't have a plan for the door. I have a piece of angle aluminum I'm using to rivet the top to the bottom.

If the Vin plate does completely rust out I'll just make another.

Got front cut out and temporary in. Had to pull the blower motor out. It quit this morning. Got a vdo brand one from Auto zone. It's huge air flow difference from the original.
Hope can get some holes cut out and some wiring figured out.

Dark brown with a white stripe? I think it’s in slot 16 on the cluster plug.

or it’s brown and white on 15 spot.
I wrote these down a while back for a plug swap around. But it’s been a while. I know it’s brown and white at 15 or 16.

The spring on the tbi is not closing all the way. Going to pull it off and clean it up. I tried spraying it down with brakeclen but no change.
