I pulled and painted the motor in my '85 orange and love it.

I pulled and painted the motor in my '80 black because the truck is orange. I guess it depends on the situation. Go figure.

My friends dad had a kenworth dump truck with a Detroit. leaked oil from everywhere. Even out of the turbo. Kinda threatened to runaway sometimes lol
The large Detroits were factory equipped with 2 engine stop cables. The E-stop pulled a pin out of a spring loaded flapper plate. The engine could eat it's self if you weren't able to stop the fuel. Always loved the sound of a running Detroit! The company had a few 8V92TA's in the large Autocars.

Why not.
I painted valve covers and throttle body on my wife's daily 350 pink. Engine has 4 colors lol
If approved by the driver, it's their ride.
I did think iirc an engine rebuild painted pink by some guy for his wife on here. I showed to my daughter and she said Nooooooo. Thank goodness. But yeah.

And just to jump start a dead horse and beat him back into submission… What engine/transmission color goes best with a dark purple truck?

Lisa said the same thing… I was leaning more Mopar SubLime, but, Panther Pink “could” work…
I was being sarcastic, but the hues would work. A hue of green may work, darker than the sublime you mentioned, but that sublime would contrast well with the purple.

I've only seen one other dark purple truck ( I don't frequent car shows or peruse the internet for such things), it was a friend of our dumb stepdad when we were kids. His friend was cool, the truck he had was a 57 stepside, with a 327, really sweet truck. The paint was metallic and kind of changed between purple and dark blue depending on the lighting.
