Nothing is more obnoxious than those glass pack mufflers! We had one on my Moms Cherokee for a while and it sounded like an airplane. I want to try some of those cheap turbo mufflers from Autozone.

Was the Cherokee a V8 or V6, though??

the turbo mufflers are decent but they don't last. My cousin installed them on a 88 sierra and they rusted out in 2 1/2 years.

2.5 L4  It seriously sounded like an aircraft engine, I herd the Jeep coming down the highway one time when I was outside and thought a Cessna was flying over.

Yea dude, the sweetest sounding 4 banger I ever herd was my R6. Once you hit you 16,000 RPM you think your ear drums are going to explode and you nut in your pants at the same time.

Those Subaru's sound awesome, they have a really distinct boxer engine sound. Low RPMs sounds like they have dead cylinders haha.

As far as rice, im a total fan. Check out EK4 Honda's, they are insanely fast.

Ya headers are pricey... but If I were you I wouldn't worry about hurting your engine w/out a muffler. As long as you dont run straight manifolds you should be fine.. I just dont like the bubbly sound of un-muffled 350s they sound like they are under water

I feel the same, I have alot of respect for those cars, you can make them really fast and get alot out of those motors for cheap! and they weigh nothing! However they dont appeal to me as much as an American muscle car, or the deep lump of a 383 stroker in a 72 c10. You just cant duplicate the feeling you get when driving a classic american truck or car...

Its funny though, in the town I live in Cops would rather pull over the ricer because THEY know how fast you can make those things haha
