Im going to paint my engine compartment, trying to decide to use acrylic anamel or acrylic urethane. Someone told me enamel was more heat resistant. I was going to use Por 15 but cant figure the bondo issue when to put it on to work it. Which should I use

For paint from a spray can, I always use enamel. As far as spray paint goes, it holds up well. For durability, it's hard to beat basecoat/clearcoat from a spray gun.

I used all of the above. Depends what is sitting on the shelf when I get the motivation lol.

in my experience pro 15 must be top coated to work correctly

Do not use POR 15 on anything other than Rusty pitted or sandblasted material. The stuff will come off in sheets if you put it over a pre-painted surface. POR Stands for paint over rust and they mean it

It will stick to a prepped surface. You just have to sand whatever your are applying it to, like any other paint. Only difference is you sand with a very coarse grit compared to regular types of paint.

But it does fade quickly if exposed to sunlight.
