I added factory dual front shocks to my '88, the ride didn't seem to change one bit. I think they look cool though, lol.

They are often called "Quad shocks" btw.

The factory quad shocks aren't really a difference over the single my 88 has quad shocks and it's not a whole lot stiffer. But if you go a head and buy some nice shocks for it then there a lot stiffer. I notice it more when im on a gravel road.

Yep my 85K1500 is OEM dual shocks. They need replaced but nonetheless they are there, and Retro has the right RPO code for them too.

Ohhhh helllllllll NO. :roflbow::roflbow::roflbow: Nice try homie, but no thanks. I wanted 3.73's real bad, and when I seen this truck had 3.73's on the RPO sticker when I went to look at it, I think I may have came just a little.

My other truck, the 85K10 has wussy wagon 3.08's in both axles. I have a 4.10 and a 4.56 14b FF rear axles, so which every front 8 lug I find first, either 4.10 or 4.56 that's what that truck will get.

I'm not so sure I buy that mpg with taller gear BS anyway. There comes a point when your rpm is to low and you are below your economy or power band and hurts worse than it helps. Also, the taller gear strains a bit even the rpm is lower. My dads truck has 3.23 gears in it. He gets the same mpg as he did with 4.10's in it, but lost pep off the line. He also gets the same mpg using 4th gear on the hwy at 70, as he does using 5th OD on the hwy at 70.
