What are your thoughts on my truck being drag limited at a little above 3K rpm's in third gear at 85+ MPH. turbo 350 and 3:08's with 32" tires. Mild 350 build. It pulls hard right to 3k and then just stops. I think it might be. Not really worried about going any faster just curious.

Perhaps there is a fuel shortage or something going on with the weights inside the distributor.

If you back off the throttle for a few seconds and then get back on it does accelerate better,briefly?

Most square bodies with 3:08's easily rev past 3k in 3rd gear. I'd say it is leaning out for whatever reason. When mine lost the fuel pump lobe it wouldn't rev but I can't remember where it was topping out. My fuel pressure was 1 1/2 psi though.
