I replaced my 83 Suburban K20 large towing mirrors with the compact ones from LMC, but they've always vibrated quite a bit. I saw these and got them before they went out of stock hoping they may solve the problem, but can't find any info about installation.
Wondered if anyone has installed things?

Kinda hard to see but the tab catches a screw from the inside to hold the plate in place and the screws from the outside just screw into it from what I remember. When it gets over -10 I might be able to find my old mirrors in the garage to show you the factory parts.

Well after more digging it turns out you can't use those plates with the below eye line mirrors, just the little sport mirrors. But I did find these on ebay:
GM part is Reinforcement, Mir Brkt 14007541 (LH), 14007542 (RH) all discontinued natch, but on the way!
