that was pretty solid looked to be in good shape for 290 k

Yah, I kick myself in the ass now for getting rid of it. Would have made a good backup/loaner vehicle for the family.

I used to have a GMT400 also, had 290K on it when I retired it and got my current Burb. I should have kept it because it had very little rust but that was my pre-internet days and didn't have the access to info we have now to keep it going. She was pretty wore out mechanical wise.

I kick myself fairly often too for getting rid of any of my GMT400's :( my two favorites were my 94 ECSB (sold for a new 02 GMC Sierra :banghead:) and my 95 ECSB (sold for a more fuel efficient vehicle :banghead: :banghead:) If I could go back in time and reverse those two transactions I would!!! Both were ridiculously clean and never let me down

Next truck I get is going to be a GMT400. My dream truck is a 454SS but the only ones I see for sale are about 20 times more than I want to pay :roflbow:

You'd be better off just getting a SWB GMT400 and cloning it rather than overpaying for a 454SS because someone thinks they have gold :roflbow::roflbow::roflbow:

OBS is second favorite GM truck body style

That was kinda my direction I was headed, a regular short bed single cab 2wd would do fine for me. I wont be building a clone though, I could not force myself to put a 454ss sticker on a truck that is not a 454ss.

When I start thinking about all this I figure why not just put the money into my 85 instead of having two piece of **** trucks :roflbow:

This OBS-NBS stuff is confusing. For the longest time, square bodies were "OBS" and the '88-'98 was "NBS"... now all of the sudden everything is different. There's OBS, NBS, NNBS, etc. And a square body ain't a one of em.

Things like this is why I've started trying to refer to them by their platform designation rather than obs, NBS,.... Because a new body style is coming out in '14 and it'll get out of hand quick then :)
