LMC has one that replaces the slide out ashtray. I saw it in their catalog and am tempted to get one.

Link? Their site is kinda confusing... Depending on price, that could be great; I don't smoke :)

While that's exactly what I'm looking for, they want $40 for that, $50 with shipping? LOL - that's ridiculous - it should be like $15 with free shipping.

Anybody got a cheaper solution, or a used one for sale?

I agree. Prob a lot of mark up on top of actual cost to make. If I buy one, I'll look at possibilities of reverse engineering to bring a lower cost alternative. Can't be that hard to construct/fabricate.

Now THAT would be awesome. I'd happily pay $15-20 including shipping. MAYBE $25 including shipping. Anything above that I'd rather get scalded with hot Starbucks. Yeah, I'll pay $4 for a lousy cup of coffee, but not $40 for something useful. People are weird o_O

I looked at that for my truck too. I have a SM465 in mine with a bench seat and I don't think it would work. I did see one on CL for $20 quite a while ago. So I would keep looking there. You never know.

BTW-back in the day when I was single a cup holder was the girl sitting beside me! Ha!Ha! Now that was a long time ago....

really its not that bad, i have one and it is well worth the money, makes things so much easier and nicer.
No, its not ridiculous, obviously they arnt gonna mark it waaay up but enough so that theyre making a profit, otherwise they wouldnt be able to sell these things, its a fair price, stop being cheap

I just had a flashback to when I was a little kid. My dad had ones that slid down next to the window of the door. Mainly used them when going to the drive-in movies.

I have one of those on the drivers side door and the dual console cup holder on my console sub box. the door mounted one isn't the best as I needed to screw it to the panel.

Sent from the dust in front of you!

Hi all: been a long time since I last visited the forums, but now that I've re-purchased a "new to me" 1984 C20 - I'm reading every thread to get caught up.

When I owned my 1977 K20 - I too had the same problem, no cup holder, SM465, Bench seat.

I found the answer in Marine (boat) supply web sites: (or just google marine gimbaled drink holder)
I bought two for $8 each. I'll link to one and hope my pic post works:
Nice thing is they are two axis rotation....
