K30's just aren't popular around here. Almost like they're extinct. Especially SRW. I'd love to have a K30 SRW. If you do find one, someone has most likely swiped the D60 front and put a D44 or 10 bolt up front. :flipthebird: What's the use after that?

:D if i had buyers, i could probly get my hands on at least 20-25 D60's.
Lets just i know of a few good junkyards.

Right off the top of my mind i can think of 5, 1 of them being a D60 Ford with hydrolic assist steering.

Nebraska is chock full of decently solid old trucks. They think they are rough, but compared to our stuff they are nice. Next job I do out there, I'm bringing stuff back with me.

Bucket i dont know what your smoking.... I mean we do have some good squares, but at least half the bodys suck up here, The good thing is tho, the bodys last about as long as the drivetrain, instead of one outlivign the other.
Most of the good body parts up here have been hauled up from the southern states. Im in the process of peicing me together a better bed, i dont feel like pulling out the little dented spots.

Towjoe, tell me what youll pay an axle, and if its doable, ill find a few. Just dont skrew me over XD, i know what their going for down south.

around my part of the country the squares are still running strong, but doors are falling off. I've had 3 K30's with frames rusted clear in too already in last few years. Only way my good trucks stay decent is that I put them up in the winter. I've seen nice restored trucks up here used for snow plow trucks last about 3-4 years before there so rusty there taken back out of service. I just sold a K20 to a guy that had a ratchet strap holding the bedsides from falling off. They were going to make a plow truck out of it and since it still had some floors in it, they were happy with it.

I recently spent a month in the Kearney area, and spent a lot of that time looking on CL and driving all around town. The amount of decent old trucks still around was amazing, I was drooling everywhere I went. And stuff was cheap for the most part too. A lot of the trucks that they said were rusty were pretty solid by Ohio standards. You guys don't know how good you have it.

I wish I had known you were in Kearney. Pronounced Carny. I have an ugly girl in Kearney that I grew up with on the block. I've known here since 3rd grade. I've been there once about 2.5 years ago to see her and her sister. I'da tried to make my way up there stopped in to visit you, and go see ugly girl and give the poor thing some attention. Coulda stayed a couple days maybe.

Yep, when I started the new job we were there for 26 days. It was a great town, lots of family businesses still and a lot of nice folks too. I won't mind if we go back for more work there soon. It will probably be a while though, going back to Iowa in the morning.

I should just fix it and use it, but I have a nicer 96 F450 AT&T bucket truck with 32' lift. This truck was in use 4 years ago and just parked. 350/4speed truck. has huge sway bars front and rear, and nice Mico brake lock. I'm still looking for another C30 just in case I decide not tear this apart
