I do not know enough to recommend a specific brand. If I had it narrowed down to a couple of choices,and no other criteria, I'd buy a high flow cat, the one with the highest shipping weight. Stands to reason it would have more content,whether it is the actually catalyst material or the casing wall thickness.

I just had to make this decision for my kids Camaro.
There are the super cheap ones on Amazon, I don't put much faith into them actually doing much at all to scrub the exhaust.
I spent some time looking over the interwebs and ended up spending $126 on a Magnaflow that is robust and has a much thicker core than the cheapies on the Amazon.

I also noticed that the Magnaflow I picked had a "EPA Compliant" rating on it.
I took that as meaning it would actually perform a service other than making it so that I could pass a visual inspection...

The center of the cat body is the actual width of the material, unlike the ones online that are supa cheap.

Now, I haven't completed the exhaust yet so I have yet to see if it actually works and passes the DEQ sniffer test.
This is just my recent experience with having to purchase a fresh cat for a car.
You may have a totally different experience than mine.

My son is trying to talk me into ceramic headers, stainless exhaust , duals, no cats.
This is a truck not a racer, he had a 9.6 second 392 charger w NOS.....the old man wants a good quiet exhaust the lets the motor breathe as much as is needed.
duals or a 2.5 inch single????? your thoughts /experience?

I'm always about duals myself. But a 2.5" single seems a little small maybe 3" single would be better.

Magnoflo. I did a LOT of research when I put this together. See post 41. I'll try to dig up the part number for that cat. It was slightly different from the rest in that it is CA rated. All that means is it has more catalyst and cleans the exhaust better than the same non CA version. Still a high flow unit.

Some pitfalls to avoid. It needs to be hot to work. The hotter the better. The closer you can get it to the Y-pipe flange the better. My first Y-pipe was 2-1/2" diameter. Big mistake. It shed heat way to fast, I remade it with 2" and the difference was noticeable. Ceramic coating or wrapping the Y-pipe would also help. Since I shi*t canned the headers and used the Holley Manifolds (ceramic coated) it solved the issue.

Dual cats on long tube headers isn't gonna work well if at all.
