Bore & Hone, where in KC?

I bought a '79 GMC mostly redone last spring, body is 90%, but needs the 400 sbc and 700-R4 rebuilt, both are tired and sloppy. Can anyone recommend a good machine shop in the KC area?

Give Raytown Transmission a call (info below). They are a great Trans shop and will also be able to refer you to a great place to get your motor work done too. They do a lot of the work for all the nice trucks and Hot Rods in the area.

Do any of the folks on here ever go to the cruise nights in Belton or Independence?

I'm in the LS area as well lived here my whole life. I've been to the Belton one before but it's been a few years. We made it to the independence cruise a couple times last summer and we also hit the Johnny Rays cruise from time to time but that one is kind of hit or miss on how good it is these days

I hope to get my engine and tranny rebuilt and then my wife and I plan to hit a few cruise nights this summer.

Is that your 79 in your signature? If you end up hitting some shoot me a PM. With four kids it's a little more tricky but we definitely like getting them out amongst the cars and trucks and I'd like to get my '77 out to more cruises as well
