I'd say yes as you can get away with a smaller compressor for primer than you can with actual paint. Its the color / paint stage you dont want a smaller compressor cycling for long runs.

Ok thanks I have had this compressor for years but only used it for airing up tires. I have never painted anything with it I have a spray gun but it isn’t what I need according to the utube videos I been watching. Apparently I need a hvlp spray gun.

That compressor puts out 8.8 scfm. Most paint guns use about 11-13 scfm. After a couple panels your atomization will greatly suffer. Eastwood makes a gun that is designed specifically for that kind of situation. I use to use the Concourse gun at home before I got a larger compressor. It yields good results.

A HPLV gun is suitable for smaller 110v compressors. You can buy throwaway versions from Harbor freight or nicer versions for more money.
I paint with a 30 gallon tank and have another 25 gallon backup. The thing is that the compressor motor is going to heat up from the run time to fill both tanks, and I am not a fan of the oilless compressors at all. Keep your tanks drained of water and use in line filters.
Lots of folks will tell you that you cannot get a quality paint job from a small compressor. Yes you can.
Pay attention to air pressures, use decent grade paints and prep prep prep. At the minimum, you can paint sections/panels at a time.
