If you guys remember my other thread about my old overflow tank cracking and leaking, and I took it off. Well I went to Auto Zone yesterday and picked up an aftermarket kit for $8.99!!:High 5:

I had to ask for it, it was behind the counter, not out in the store shelves.

As you can see the tank sits in that wire basket, and the moutning arms of the bracket and be bent to any shape to match whatever surface you are mounting on. It has a plastic cap with a keeper on it, and upper and lower tube fittings. It comes with some clear tubing, about 3 feet of it.

Also supposed to be in the kit is mounting hardware, a gasket for the lid, and some ties for the hose, but that seemed to be missing out of mine so I got jipped. :flipthebird:

So slide the tank out of the basket and find a place to mount it. Adjust wire mounts as necessary to for a level and flush fit. Also watch your hood clearance and test fit before mounting. That tank sits pretty high out of the basket.

Next feed your overflow line from the top of the radiator to the bottom fitting on the tank and connect, then slide tank into mounting bracket......

Then hook the overflow tube onto the top tank fitting and run down to the frame.....

It's basically just universal man. ****, for 9 bucks ya can't beat it. I should have measured it for you guys so you know how much room it takes, but you can see it's damn near half the size of the battery. And holds about 1/2 a gollon of A/F or so.

One thing I will say is it definatly is tall, just clears the hood when it's closed, and I have it right against the wheel well.

I might put that in my 67 F100 instead of using the OEM bag.

I think you need to keep that 67 OEM as possible. Just replace it with a douche bag and call it good !!! :roflbow: :roflbow: :roflbow:

And take it to car shows and pop the hood !!!

I know if my 72 F100 was worth 18K fully restored 2 years ago then this 67 f100 is worth even more. I have the douche bag and its in good condition also.
