Narrowing the world a bit more, I moved to Bremerton around 73 to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard [PSNS] in Shop 51, marine electricians. From there, I went to Bangor Sub Base, then Keyport Naval Torpedo Station [NTS], now called the Naval Undersea Warfare Engineering Station [NUWES] (guess the old name was to short) electronics section.
In the end, the job was too secure and the pay to good, so I struck out on my own and now I'm here in the desert of Eastern WArshington (why work 8 hours for someone else when you can work 18 for yourself?).
If you were racing there back around that time and saw a 69 Chev step side around Bremerton or East Bremerton with etched glass windows and mahogany racks that said "Imagination Unincorporated" (Inc.?) the world was even smaller yet.
