87 Short Bed Fuel Tanks

I have an 87 short bed 4x4 with dual tanks, its a fuel injection 305 (all stock). Looking to replace both the drivers and passenger side tanks. Have looked on RockAuto and the tanks and pumps don't look right. Does anyone know of another place to look for these items or the part number from RockAuto. I've looked at LMC Truck they have them in stock I was just price checking to get the best deal.

I just did the same search, and they looked right to me. You need the smaller sixteen gallon tank not the longer twenty gallon tank because it won't fit. The best price for a pump assembly or even just the pump is gonna be on RockAuto. They also have a discount code in the preferred vendor section. Don't get an Airtex one, but the other brands should be fine. Delco/Delphi is always gonna be the best, but I tried a Spectra assembly on my Jimmy to save a few dollars, and it's worked flawlessly so far. If you can save the original tanks, do so. They're made so much better and rigid than the Taiwanese replacements. I checked AMD to see if they had tanks, and they don't list them for an '87. Even then, everything they had in that department are the same Spectra tanks that RockAuto sells. What I'm getting at is there's probably not gonna be an above and beyond fuel tank out there besides the original.

Just ordered 2 Spectra Tanks for my 86 k10 shortbed, cheapest was Amazon.....buy spectra its made in Canada not china like Dorman.

I checked out the difference between the GM11C tank on Amazon vs. RockAuto, and the latter had it for 12 dollars less. I don’t know what the respective shipping costs would do to that range, and it does appear that Amazon is cheaper for the pre-TBI tanks. Wow, I didn’t know they made any of them on this continent. Wish I would have known that...
