Edelbrock makes one 85-95 is #2111 and vortec is #2114. For 90 degree V6

I guess neither one has EGR and both have square bore flanges although they do have dual bolt pattern on the flanges.

If using a Qaudjet is the problem he could use Edelbrock #2692 adapter to mount a Quadjet to square bore manifold.

after doing alot of home work on the 1985-86 4.3l V6 it seems that factory carb intakes were only made for about 2 years...which makes them almost impossible to find..also i was wrong about the 2bbl carb there was never a 4.3 with a factory 2bbl carb that i could find anything about anyway. and also from what i read that the carb versions were only in full size chevy and GMC truck and full size vans..all cars were already TBI.. in a nut shell those intakes seem to be extremely rare..and about the only choice you have is go to the edelbrock #2111

Don't know how far you want to drive, Wrench-A-Part in Belton has a 4.3 1985 Astro.

I had an 85 c10 with a 4.3 4bbl Rochester. I honestly cant remember if it had an EGR. I remember it having the AIR. At the time I understood it to be a one year only application and it was the electronic carb with the ECM controlled distributor.

Was a great little engine. I remember the local engine shop drooling over that 4bbl carb set up too. this was a good 15 years ago so im thinking your gonna have a tuff time finding a stock manifold.

I prefer aluminum over stock any day so I would just order the Edelbrock with a matching carb and call it a day.

They did have an egr valve, at least the c 10 pickups did. The intake under the carb is a lot taller than the v8 intakes because the valve mounts on the front of that instead of off to the side.

my hat is off to Retro.. after i read what he said about wrench a part i didnt hesitate called them and ask them about it....naturally they said they didnt know... so i loaded up my toolboxes and hauled ass down there...3 hours 15mins down there might i add..when i got there that 4.3 was untouched nothing was missing all factory brackets and lines...im mean untouched like it came from the factory..any way me hitting the jackpot i got all the factory accessory brackets, throttle bracket, intake, original q-jet, distributor, and the metal vacuum line for the brake booster..when i go the intake off it looked as if that engine was suffering from a blown head gasket or cracked head..or a internal coolant leak some where..i looked at the intake good to make sure that it wasnt cracked on the coolant runner and it wasnt so we are good there.. also just to let everyone know they have a stock pile of squares down there in there yard... mostly 80s but a few 73-79 models anyone that might need something they are not having any luck finding.. i could always make another trip.. anyway much thanks to retro for shedding some light on wrench a part to me.. cant thank you enough man
