I have a solid 2 bolt main 350 that I just pulled out of my truck last week. If I don't have to use it to pay the guy that's helping me I would let it go super cheap.

Yeah very nasty lol going to pull the heads and see what it looks like. Ok I will keep that in mind. I got this one for "free". I work a guy that has tons of sbc's laying around so getting another wouldn't be hard.

Basically debating if I want to do the massive about of cleaning it will need.

Lol it will be a good time trying to get those bolts out for sure. Idk that I would even mess with that if you can get another free one that's in better shape.

Well I can't get another free. My cousin owed me for work so he gave me this. I already broke one bolt, but I should be able to get it out. Couldn't get the bolts for the exhaust off rounded the heads over. But I will get them off maybe tomorrow.

I am going to check the cylinders and see how they look and that will be the deciding factor on whether or not im going to keep this engine.

I wouldn't be worried at all it can be cleaned up I've seen a lot worse a lot of times and as for the cylinders you could sleeve them. Unless there's a hole somewhere or somethig like that I would just go with it

Honestly a 350 is a 350.. 2 bolt vs 4 bolt is very subjective these days.

If you want to know for sure if its a 350 measure the bore.

Well it does say GM 5.7LG on the back drivers side. Just kinda wanted to find out the year on it. I am hoping its a 4 bolt.

Any particular reason you want a 4 bolt? They aren't as strong as some people make them out to be.

A lot of these dirt track guys around here prefer 2 bolts. Doesn't make them any difference and 2 bolt blocks are a dime a dozen.

Well I don't have to have a 4 bolt. I was under the impression that they were better. So 2 bolt is fine by me. Hopefully get this sucker rebuilt soon, need my truck back.
