yes the only pan on the trans the trans fluid pan.

roll it over and get one from as you would see with it in place under the truck looking up at it.

a 700r4 has a squareish pan and a 350 is squae with one corner 45'd off it.

I would say that is a turbo 350 and with that short shaft probably had a 203 t case behind it

in 1985 gm changed the transmissions so they all used the same driveshafts

you could put a 700r4 400 350 or the long tail shaft 465 in your truck if you find the right combo of parts

hell you can even put a nv4500 5 peed 4l80 or even a 4l80 in your truck with the right combo of original gm parts

I have swapped a nv4500 into a 85 and used all gm parts and a 4l80 with only minimal modifications

its hard to say exactly what needs done until we know what tcase you have with the 400

you might have to drill new hole in your frame for the cross member

if you have a 208 t case to match the 400 your stock shifter will work

if you have a 205 or a 203 you will need to cut a hole in your floor for the shifter

you will need to get a 400 and the transfer case that fits it and go from there
