Column was a dud. I'm just going to go with the floor shifter. Truck's been sitting for long enough as is. Thank you all for the input. I'll document the swap (and properly introduce myself) in another thread.

Before someone suggests it, I will NOT convert to a floor shifter.

Guess that someone ended up being myself.
