So a guy at my shop bought this van from auction for the engine and transmission to put in his Chevelle. Sounds like he is going to pull all the associated items to use and also pull the rear axle, a 14 bolt, and then scrap the rest. Are there any other parts that may be useful from it? Steering wheel, gauges, radio, climate control? Other small parts or trinkets that might be worth saving?

Would any cruise control or intermittent wiper stuff interchange with a square? Those overhead lights look kinda cool.

Is he going to give you the parts? If so I stripe what ever I could out of it. Column, the guts would be the same as our SB. I'd pull all the seats, and seat belts. If he'll let you have the parts, I'd tear it apart.

These are my thoughts too.

Honestly, I haven't actually been able to talk to him about it yet. I learned all this info through another co-worker that has been in touch with him. The guy that bought it is in Tennessee chasing a die, and he had been thinking about buying it before he left. Hopefully he will be back in the shop on Monday.

I thought I would get some different point of views from you guys. Thanks for the insight. Hopefully he will not be looking to get every last drop of $$$ outta the thing. It would be cool to go through it and swipe a lot of things out of it.

A guy with a CC Dually was just telling me today that he used a rear fuel tank out of a van to install in the rear of his truck and did away with the side saddle tanks. He says it's not at long as the 40 gallon Burb tank, but is taller so it fits better behind the axle to the rear cross support.

Kinda forgot about this. His dad and cousin ended up raiding the van for parts on their projects. Not much left worth the effort for me. Oh well, always have my eyes open for possibilities.
