Getting ready to install new headlights and two of the lights have 2 prong plugs. The lights I bought all have 3 prongs. Want to be sure to get the right ones. Can some one recommend good adapters to purchase?

Do you have 4 headlights or two? Did you buy stock type lights or LED lights? If your truck has 4 headlights and you bought stock type lights, two of the lights you bought are the wrong type.

Yep if you've got a quad headlight setup you'll need two, two prongs, and two three prongs.

You can make them work for the high beams, but they won't be as bright because the bulb inside has a black coating on the tip of the bulb.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry for the confusion. I suspect that someone may have changed the lighting before I bought the vehicle. On my burb, the 2 prong bulbs are on top and the 3 prong bulbs are on the bottom. Is this the correct positions for them? The 2 prongers are much brighter than the bulbs with 3 prongs. The bulbs I bought are supposed to be combination dim and brights in one bulb. Supposed to change the prongs around in the 3 prong plug for one or the other. What I am needing is an adapter to go from the two prong plug to the 3 prong bulb. Do they make such a thing? Sorry for the dumb questions, but I have never fooled with lighting before.

Originally, the 3-prong go on top (high and low beam) and the 2-prong go on the bottom (high beam). Only 2 lights are on for low beams and 4 lights are on for high beams.

If you want it to function like original, you need to return two of your bulbs and get the correct (2-prong) bulbs. There's no adapters for installing the incorrect bulbs when the correct bulbs are readily available.

If you are trying to achieve having 4 low beams on at the same time, you are going to have to splice your headlight harness for that to work. And probably upgrade the system with relays so you don't overload your headlight switch.
