So I just did an Ls swap on a 1979 k10 stepside. I put a 2005 5.3 with the original transmission which is a sm465. I had trouble with this before the motor swap but now I’m going to address it. You can push my clutch pedal halfway down before the clutch engages. And when you to lift your foot it only comes back up like 3 inches off the floor so you have to pick it up with your toe. Anyone know why. It’s all a mechanical clutch so I found out if I take the spring off and adjustment bar off the clutch fork when I hit the pedal I could push it a couple inches then it would shoot to the floor and wouldn’t come back up at all. Any help?
