I replaced my wiper motor with one from a yard. I connected it and it parked the wipers but did nothing else. I grounded a wire and it began working so I determined it was a switch problem. I just received a NOS switch from Philips Muscle Car and the wipers work fine. However, the washer pump runs whenever the wiper switch is turned on. The knob is not pushed inward. I've maneuvered the switch left to right and in and out and the wiper speeds work fine but it doesn't fix the pump issue.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before and what could fix the issue?

Thanks...

If you disconnect the plug to the washer pump, it quits, right? Is this the same problem that the previous wiper motor had?
