    6.2 conversion

the earlier 6.2 heads with the coarse thread injectors had larger valves and would flow more, but the larger valve heads are also more prone to cracking between the valves. the coarse injectors are only used in the early heads, the later 6.2s and 6.5s use fine thread injectors. the early...

Looking to swap in a 6.2 into my c10

6.2s are a good engine and will last as long as you maintain them and don't treat them like a cummins or a powerstroke. they are a light duty fuel economy diesel. I just converted my crew cab over to a twin turbo 6.2 from a 454. it was pretty darn easy.

    6.2 conversion

I would order a flywheel for the 6.5 from rock auto or a local auto parts store. also make sure the harmonic balancer and front pulley rubber are in good condition. if they are not a broken crank can result. for the injectors I would get bosch brand, I am building a pop tester so I can rebuild...

    6.2 diesel flywheel

I am pretty sure it is a duall mass flywheel. I have not ran the part number on it yet. Also it is broken so i need to find a 6.2 diesel flywheel. Two of the springs in it are very loose and that is why it is able to rotate.

    Biodiesel

Are you talkin about veg oil (WVO) or actual bio diesel where you make diesel from veg oil. bio diesel burns just like regular diesel and dose not take anything special. running WVO takes a two tank system and has to be heated to at least 160 F for it to have the viscosity of diesel then it has...

If you did get a 1 ton 14 bolt the spring perches will be in the wrong spot. you will have to cut them off and reweld them about an inch farther out on each side.

    Diy tonneau cover

Do you have a general plan for the construction of this tonneau cover? Fiberglass, canvas or vinyl? I think a soft cover would be fairly simple but for the latch on the tailgate end, i have seen a few and it dose not look like someting easy to make without some cnc equipment.

    6.2 diesel swap!!!!

The 6.2l has a drain hole in the valley under the intake that goes into the bellhousing area. so if the fuel leaked into the valley it would run down into the bellhousing and out the inspeciton cover hole. Engine looks good BTW!
