use a small punch to make a divit in the rivit then drill it to the frame with a small drill bit (starter hole) then drill it with a bigger bit 3/8ths or 1/2 inch to the frame.

if it does not come off you can knock it off with a chisel and a hammer or this method makes using an air chisel alot easier and faster

then the stub sticking out of the frame needs ground down flush to the frame then they knock out easy if not ground down they mushroom out

Cut an "X" into the head of the rivet with a cutoff wheel, then hit it with an air chisel.

all of the above, or just grind the head off completely, it's wha I've always done, then punch the rest thru the back.

I have used all methods listed above and they all have their moment when it works best. Just wear a mask if you are doing any grinding on the rivets to avoid getting sick.

I just took some off with a torch, and still had hard time driving them out. I may try the air chisel next time. I used to just grind the heads off and drive out, but as rusty as everything is in my area that was quite a job.
