It has a 350, th350, with one ton springs,
I plan on making it a 454, sm464, with one and a half ton springs.

My friend has a machine shop - in it is a shotpean blaster he uses for large amounts of old valves and such. What you're doing makes me think about putting my 5 gal bucket of spare bolts into that blaster then having them all replated. Would be quite a collection of 'new' bolts.
Sounds crazy but have you priced a single bolt anymore? Hardware store is 60-80c for about anything and proprietary GM is $7-15/ea.

Oh its Insane. I never throw away a bolt ever. They always come in handy.
In fact, whevenever I'm at the junkyard, I pick up every good bolt I see loose or on the ground.
I watched a video of a guy that did what I did with the vinegar, but then he put then in a cheap harbor freight vibrating parts sander with a ceramic media afterwards. Those bolts came out new and shiney. Was thinking of getting one of those.

When I went to convert my accessories to a serpentine belt, I collected all the later style brackets (ebay iirc). What I didn't have was the bolts (some semi-proprietary) to mount them to the motor, the accessory to them, etc. Even at Rock they were $5-15 EA. I went to the yard, collected 2 sets (took baggies with tme so they would be labeled as to what bracket they were for) and got them all for $1. A little cleaning and replating....better than new. lol

Looks like a Chelsea 220 or 410 series. As you may know the PTO input gear must match the trans it is going to be mounted to.
I serviced many Chelsea PTO's in my career. Still have the old upfit listing books, as well as service books. The 203 and 205 transfer cases also have the 6 bolt PTO mount. One advantage of the transfer case mount is operating the main trans in high gear and the transfer in neutral. This gives good PTO speed at engine idle. The trans mounted PTO, if powering a hydraulic pump will need about 1500 RPM.

Hey Roger, start a thread and tag me. I'll help with what ever I can. The old Chelsea's with their cast iron cases are very serviceable. The old Muncie's with their diecast cases, not so much. Newer Muncie PTOs are much better.

I started it yesterday (fired right up like nothing despite having like a pint of 3 year old gas in it), then I rooted around the back of it looking for parts of other vehicles that are being stored in it, while doing so I noticed surprisingly it doesn't look like there's much mouse activity inside (fingers crossed). Really inspired me to actually get it back on the road once it's warmer. Probably gonna have to go through EXERYTHING once I get the head situation sorted out, but I miss my damn truck.

There is a plater - exclusive Chrysler-Jeep....I met the owner through a friend. According to them I'm "1 of 2 not name Chrysler or Jeep they do stuff for". I strip and prep them....they do the rest. lol
