I am going to replace my current stock 5.7 4 bolt main with a crate motor. My current belt drive is from a v6

I would like to replace my current serpentine system with one from a V8. Going to the junkyard tomorrow to look for the brackets. What year trucks or cars should I be looking for to find what I need?

I am considering a blueprint crate motor, vortex heads.

Any other considerations such as ac compressor, alternator, or ps pump?

thoughts and comments?

Those V6 brackets are the same as a V8 so I am not sure exactly what you are wanting to accomplish. The only difference between brackets is whether it's from a car or a truck, the car brackets sit lower than the truck brackets.

Exactly.

There are also a different set of brackets used for '96 and newer, but it's the same thing... V6 and V8 were the same.

Brackets on my truck are from 92 Sonoma. So they are the same as a v8 then?

they should bolt up with no modifications to a crate engine with vortex heads on a non vortec block?

my current set up is 1986 4 bolt main 1 piece rear seal stock heads. Are bolt holes in vortec heads different than what is on mine?

I ask these questions as blueprint engines said my current drive belt system would not mount up directly but that v 8 systems would
