The factory made those. Unfortunately, nobody seems to repop them.

The original ones turned the buckle 90° so it lined up with the belt blade when the belt was flat across your lap and chest, and it faced the release button to the outside.
I see a new 3d print in his future

I've said for a few years now, every car guy working on their own ****, should have a printer at this point.
I have worked in CAD my entire career, and I have considered getting one, just don't have any space at home for it. After retirement I should be able to make room after going through everything and tossing what isn't needed. That'll be a huge project...lol...

Yes! The price of entry isn't that bad either, depending on what you want. I have sold enough to cover my printer as well, once you design something that is wanted by others anyway. It does help when you can draw up your own parts though.

Need to pick up some hardware after work tomorrow and sort out the linkage, remove the scoop and cut the hole in the hood bigger.

LMC package just arrived.

Strange I never noticed (tested) before, but discovered I did not need the key to start the truck. On a whim, I checked and. . . .

Got on line and ordered a new ignition switch, as well as the electronics part of the chain. Opened the package and thought, "CRAP, ordered two of what I only need one of." Checked and it was just a generous share by LMC.

Wish I had local square body types I could donate one to.

Anyway, that's this WEEK's new. (Changed the turn signal assembly, while I was in there).

I would tell you not to drive too far without the keys in...but your truck is a 78. Different for late 80's models with electronics attached to all ignition and throttle body stuff.

Replacement manifolds are out for delivery today so went ahead and pulled the old ones. Got a lot of cleaning and painting to do in the engine bay, plus will blast and paint the “new” manifolds before installing them.

In the “while I’m at it” category I’ll be replacing several exhaust pipe hangers/supports once I get things buttoned up.

Didn't expect this. Old painted bumper removing paint with citristrip with saran wrap over it. I've only ever tried 24 hrs then repeat.

Put it on and wrapped sunday. Had the grandkids for a few days so didn't touch it until today. Absolute butter removal.

I got time at that rate. AC remover is better from what I've read, but they say the metal retains the smell for days. Wife would b|tch about it tho lol.

@bucket going clean and smooth on the front and let the rear bumper be the wear and tear look lol. Thx again.

Since clearing my code 42, I have driven it twice with no check engine light, or issues however I am anticipating it again eventually.

I finally got my ignition control module, which was a first impulse purchase after seeing code 42 and researching what is involved. I also got my MAP sensor connector, not related to the code 42(that I know of). I do need a new connector as my current one is zipp tied to stay fastened. The tab broke off sometime when myself and the shop were troubleshooting my previous rough idle/stumbling etc..

ICM is NOS from 1995, Made in USA. I think this may be the 2nd ever AC Delco part that was made in USA I have managed to land. Still thinking about ordering the AC Delco connectors for the ICM but want to take a better look at them when the cap is off to install new ICM.

The MAP connector is newer, made in Taiwan but looks great. Plenty of wire to splice in with. I saw a video where a guy just pushed the electrical posts out of thw old housing and pushed in to a new connector housing. That looks super easy, but I probably need to splice it in and get the new wires in the system.
